Shriver is an American journalist, author, and elite member of the Kennedy family. She is also the former First Lady of California. Schwarzenegger and Shriver married in 1986 and later got legally divorced in 2021.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Shriver was quarantined at her home in Brentwood. The renowned journalist seemed to have watched the movie – ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.’ She then posted a meme featuring movie leads Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio that had a caption, “They came to pick me up, but I was strong & I told them I’m staying home.”

However, Shriver was not so strong after all as she wrote in her post’s caption, “My friend Nadine sent me this with the question: ‘What would you do?’ I mean, c’mon, do you have to ask?! I’d go as fast as I could! You?”

Daughter, Katherine Schwarzenegger, got flustered after reading her mother’s post. She commented, “Omg mom.” But Shriver was in a goofy mood and replied to her daughter’s comment: “Now you know what to get me for Mother’s Day!!”

Unlike Katherine, many found Shriver’s post relatable and agreed with the former First Lady of California. However, Shriver meant it as a joke and also appealed to her followers to obey the COVID guidelines with a hashtag #stayhomestaysafe

Even after several rumors of Schwarzenegger cheating on his wife with other women, the couple had a steady relationship. However, in 2011, after Schwarzenegger’s affair with the housekeeper broke out, Shriver filed for a divorce and parted ways with the bodybuilder.
