Shaun Clarida’s amazing victory in the 212 bodybuilding division was bittersweet. In a frank conversation with Flex Wheeler, Clarida emotionally disclosed what was missing this year. He also expressed why the Olympia 2022 win was special for him.

Bodybuilding Champion Shaun Clarida’s Emotional Public Statement After Winning 

Clarida shed light on his painful Olympia journey. “I lost my coach John Meadows last year before the Olympia. Part of me wasn’t there.”  These words express what made Shaun work harder had to win the title in Olympia 2022’s 212 division.   Continuing, Clarida stated that he had a talk with his coach’s son the night before.

During the honest interview with Flex Wheeler, Clarida also narrated that the win was sweet to him for many reasons. “It feels so much better, you know, losing it last year…… knowing I have a baby girl coming. It made it that much sweeter.” The bodybuilding champion also remarked that he was going to put the prize in the room for his small baby girl. 

Later, Clarida also described the incredible support he had received during the contest. “My gym family’s out here, my sponsors are all here.” Continuing, he told how it was unfortunate that his wife couldn’t witness his victory since she was expecting a baby.

The bodybuilding champion also went on to reveal how Flex Wheeler was his idol. He also thanked Matt Jansen, his coach who helped him to prepare for Olympia 2022, for supporting him all through the years.

Shaun Clarida and Other Players’ Wins in Olympia 2022’s 212 Division

Clarida won an amount of $50,000 after securing first place in Olympia 2022’s 212 division. First runner-up Angel Calderon Frias won an amount of $20,000. Kamal Elgargni who came third obtained $10,000 as prize money. Ahmad Ashkanani who acquired fourth place was given an amount of $6,000.
