However, earlier this year, the Golden Era Bodybuilding, a fan account on Twitter, shared a unique picture of Schwarzenegger, Zane, and Draper on their profile. In the image, then-young bodybuilders are seen walking on the beach with surfboards under their arms. The three were walking away from the ocean and looked happy in each other’s company.
The resurfaced picture “broke the internet”, as fans went gaga over this rare gem of an image, adoring the trio’s toned physique and delightful faces.
The source of the image is unknown, and hence it is unsure if it was just another bodybuilding shoot or whether the bodybuilders were just having an off-day by the beach.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and his friendship with Zane and Draper
Frank Zane was one of those “only” bodybuilders who had beaten Schwarzenegger in a bodybuilding competition. The two had met back in 1968 during the Mr. Universe competition.
The well-built Zane beat the young Schwarzenegger to win the title. They soon became close friends and also shared a house in California for a brief time. It was during this time Schwarzenegger, Zane, and Draper [who was also in the state] trained together in the gym.
