Love is in the air for 3x Mr. Olympia, Chris Bumstead. The star bodybuilder recently got engaged to longtime girlfriend Courtney King. Bumstead, who has been the reigning champion of the Classic Physique category of Mr. Olympia, announced the joyous news on October 6th.

Ever since the engagement, the couple has been posting photos from the proposal. The bodybuilding legend recently posted a photo on his Instagram story, with the caption, “been training my whole life for this”.

Both Chris and Courtney have a bodybuilding background. While Chris championed Mr. Olympia, Courtney won the Ms. Bikini Olympia 2016. The couple announced their relationship back in 2018 when they posted their pictures on their respective social media. Ever since then, fans have been doting on their posts, admiring the couple and their sweet messages for each other.

Courtney has been a top-notch athlete, playing basketball and soccer and partaking in swimming and gymnastics. She began contesting professionally in 2013 and eventually won the Ms. Bikini Olympia title in 2016. Meanwhile, Chris hailed from Canada and began bodybuilding at the age of 19. He began as a professional in 2016 and was the reigning Mr. Olympia Classic Physique champion from 2019-2021.

Post the engagement announcement, the couple has been sharing gorgeous photos, drawing a lot of attention from their fans. Chris mentioned how the 30-second-long moment was the most nervous and happiest he had ever been.

In the pictures, the couple can be seen atop a hill in Arizona, where Chris popped the question. Fellow bodybuilders like Jay Cutler and Phil Heath also congratulated the couple on their wonderful moment. Meanwhile, Courtney also shared pictures from the proposal, with a sweet caption for her to-be husband. She also revealed that the proposal in fact took place on September 26th!
