Chris Bumstead, the three-time Mr. Olympia is a Canadian IFBB professional bodybuilder. Bumstead won the title in 2019, 2020, and 2021, making him the current reigning champion in the Men’s Classic Physique. Mr. Olympia is also renowned for his down-to-earth nature. One can’t help their curiosity to know what keeps them grounded.

Bodybuilding began as a hobby for the champion, but it was not his ultimate goal. However, with great outcomes in the competitions he took part in as a junior, he pursued the sport more seriously. In a 2018 interview, he opened up on the importance of his family as the reason for his unchanged lifestyle.

Bumstead said that he was happy and didn’t need to change

Bumstead owes greatly to his family and girlfriend for shaping his character and maintaining a calm and composed nature. Also, he said he didn’t change his lifestyle after he was shot to stardom, “didn’t like move to LA and try and make famous friends” Instead he kept doing what he was doing.

“I kept the people who were close to me already close to me.” Also, he said that life was already great and didn’t try to change anything. “It’s who I am so why change now.” Moreover, he shared an excellent mantra that helped him become what he is today. He said, “everything in my life is just like it’s who you surround yourself.”

Bumstead has remained the same person besides winning the most prestigious titles, not once but thrice. He displays a very calm and humble personality. Moreover, he shared that it was definitely because of how he was raised.

Chris Bumstead has a supportive family

He continued that he was raised by a good family. “Good family is a great support system,” he said. Furthermore, he elaborated on the close relationship he has with his family. Further, he said that his parents taught him to be a good person.

While talking about his sister, he said that she was close to his life. Regarding his girlfriend, he said, “I have a girlfriend who keeping me grounded.”

Fair to say, Bumstead has immense love and respect for his closest ones.
