While talking about bodybuilding’s increasing popularity and influence on other sportspersons, the fitness gurus could not stop admiring basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal‘s muscular body. Here is how a bodybuilding conversation ended on a basketball icon.

Jay Cutler and others love Shaquille O’Neal
In one of his latest episodes of Cutler Cast, Cutler featured nutritional food delivery service Trifecta’s CEO Greg Connolly. As usual, Cutler’s manager Matt was also a part of it. However, towards the end of the episode, the trio ended up discussing bodybuilding’s growing demand and traction in the sporting world.
That’s when Connolly mentioned basketball icon Shaquille O’Neal’s presence at Mr. Olympia’s 2022 event. That’s when Matt added, “He went and did a whole posing routine the other day.” To which the CEO replied, “Shaq’s pretty jacked though.”
While the duo admired the basketball legend’s body, Cutler jumped into the conversation. “I don’t know how old he’s at this point, but he’s running around. I think he’s gonna be my age,” he said. Both, Matt and Gonolly, believed Shaq to be 50 years old [which was correct]. The three of them were absolutely stunned by how old yet fit O’Neal looked, despite not being from the bodybuilding industry.
However, lately, bodybuilding has peaked the “Big Shamrock’s” interest, and he even displayed his excitement for this upcoming competition.
Shaq shared his excitement for Mr. Olympia
Mr. Olympia is one of the most prestigious championships in the bodybuilding world. But in 1994, the founder of Mr. Olympia, Joe Weider, introduced a new segment of the event named Master Olympia. In this, older bodybuilders compete against each other. But the championship has not been held since 2012.
However, recently it was announced that Master Olympia would be coming back in 2023, under Jake Wood’s presidency. As soon as Mr. Olympia’s Instagram posted this news, Shaquille O’Neal shared the post on his story. Although O’Neal did not mention his participation, it seemed like the basketball legend was excited to see the event return.
