Sharing details of Ronnie’s initial days at the gym, Jason English, aka Big J, in a recent podcast with Dave Tate, shares some interesting details. For the unversed, Jason has trained 8x Mr. Olympia Ronnie for over 20 years. The duo has seen several ups and down together. Walking down memory lane, the celebrity coach talked about his first interaction with Ronnie.
During their first encounter, as the coach quoted, “I’m looking at him, and he’s looking at me with that look, and I asked, you know, the person I was training with– “What’s he doing?” Though Ronnie already had a good body, his body was not properly proportioned during the said time. Sharing his honest thought, he said, “How come he come he got some so much weight but got a little bit of a** legs?”

As Ronnie remained pretty clueless about what was happening, English assured the young man by stating, “We’re going to change your training” With this being said, the rest became history. Ronnie became one of the finest in the sport’s history.

A big part of Coleman’s successful career, Big J helped him follow a diet and exercise routine that best suited him.
