Arnold Schwarzenegger seems to have a strong influence on all three of his sons. All of his kids have taken up on both, hitting the iron, and stepping in front of the camera. However, his son Joseph Baena has been a fan favorite in both of the roles, especially in bodybuilding. 

Arnold Schwarzenegger was a hero to him always, says Baena 

In the episode, Baena went in-depth about how he was always expected to stand up to his father’s image on social media. But, to him, it was not like that. If anything, Baena is inspired by the “Austrian Oak.” From acting to striking the gym poses.

He even shared how being the son of an immigrant also helped him find his niche. He revealed that although he is not trying to step into Arnold’s shoes, he does want a part of his discipline. 

Baena said, “he came from nothing. He was an immigrant, he came from Austria, so young with no money. So, I’m constantly thinking, ‘oh well if he did it without all these things,’ then I should be able to do it.”

Although born in America, Joseph has immigrant blood as his mother was a Guatemalan. Arnold immigrated to the USA in the 1960s to make a position in the bodybuilding world. No wonder, to Baena, the GOAT is a big inspiration. 

How similar are father and son?

A glance is enough to tell the striking resemblance between Arnold and Joseph. Joseph got to know about Arnold’s real relationship with him when he was in 8th grade. But, it seems that both of them are on very positive and amicable terms with each other. Joseph even knew about his siblings and was economically supported by Schwarzenegger during college. 

Luckily for him, Baena is doing pretty decent. He is a real estate agent and seems to be having great success at it. Further, he wins the internet every time he poses with people awing at his chiseled physique.
