Joey Swoll is among the most popular fitness and bodybuilding influencers. With a combined social media following of over 10.5 million, Swoll educates people on bodybuilding. However, unlike other influencers, Swoll stands for promoting positivity in the gym. The social media influencer’s popularity exploded when he began shedding light on toxic practices in the gym. Swoll has called out numerous influencers before, and in his latest video, he had some harsh criticism for a TikToker mocking a fellow gymgoer online.

The bodybuilding and fitness influencer didn’t pull any punches

In his call-out video, Joey Swoll showed the video the TikToker had posted with her saying, “Guys showing off at the gym, part one.” She then explained what had transpired. “I was doing yoga and then this guy walked across the turf through the medicine ball at the wall three times and then left,” the TikToker added. She also showed a glimpse of the man mentioned.

However, the bodybuilding and transformation coach pointed out the discrepancies in her statements. He said the TikToker felt “upset” because the man was working out in the “same area” as her. “You think he’s trying to impress you to hit on you simply because he’s doing an exercise a common exercise where he’s not looking at you,” he said.

Swoll also pointed out how she filmed the man doing a “common exercise” without his knowledge or consent. “He’s not trying to talk to you, and he can’t even see that you’re taking a video of him,” said Swoll. “Stop taking videos of people at the gym to post on social media to make fun of them,” he said. The fitness influencer said gyms need to change their policy.

Gyms should “start kicking people out for doing this,” said the bodybuilder. Swoll then addressed the gym management saying she hoped they would see his video and remove the “toxic young woman” from their gym. He also told the woman to respect others and their privacy and to “mind your own business.” Swoll efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Earning Arnold Schwarzenegger’s seal of approval

While millions across social media have praised Swoll for his efforts, some news outlets have accused Joey Swoll of fueling misogyny. While he has defended himself from such allegations, Joey Swoll’s biggest win came when Arnold Schwarzenegger approved of his crusade to spread positivity.

The original record-setter, the seven-time Mr. Olympia and five-time Mr. Universe, tweeted about Joey Swoll. “Last time I met you, I ran right over to you because of your body. Next time, it’s going to be because of your mind and all of the positivity you’re spreading in fitness,” tweeted Schwarzenegger.
