The notion that a human being can fight any wild animal and survive is supposedly both crazy and delirious. But the presence of some of the strongest men on Earth often keeps the flicker of curiosity alive, and if one of those men could take down a wild beast. But the answer is simply ‘no’, as a former World’s Strongest man recently claimed. He believes neither he nor any human on Earth can take down a wild animal, a particular one in this context.

When he is not crushing Oberyn Martell’s skull, the Mountain from Game of Thrones A.K.A., Hafthor Bjornsson, continues to do bodybuilding for performing strongman activities. However, this raised a question from a fan if he could beat a gorilla in a fight. Bjornsson gave an honest and practical answer.

Hafthor Bjornsson is fully aware of his strengths and capabilities

Just like many celebrities do, Hafthor Bjornsson recently took to his Instagram to start a ‘Ask me anything’ session. The questions ranged from whether or not he would come back to strongman competitions to this unique question, “Gorilla vs Hafthor Bjornsson”. Bjornsson’s answer was true to nature.

 He responded to his fan in his Instagram story, “Gorilla vs Myself, @thorbjornson, and @tomstoltmanofficial fighting together and I still take the gorilla”. For the unversed, Tom Stoltman is the reigning two-time World’s Strongest Man champion. He won the competition in 2021 and 2022 and will look to repeat the feat this year as well. The Scottish strongman plus the Icelandic giant won’t be enough together to defeat those aggressive, giant animals on Earth.

Bjornsson continued, “No human alive can beat a gorilla unless you have a weapon and are very fast”. He thus concluded that strength and power aren’t the way to go in order to beat a gorilla. An adult gorilla weighs somewhere between 300-500 lbs. Thus the biggest ones weigh twice as much as Bjornsson or Stoltman.

Also, Bjornsson who became the world’s strongest man in 2018 and shared the diet for it, has since changed his eating habits. He has shed around 110 lbs and is looking to get leaner to hone speed, power, and agility. But even if he was twice the size he is now, it wouldn’t be possible to take down a gorilla.
