However, the star debunked the myth that bodybuilding was unappealing to women. In an interview, Bumstead talked about how he thought girls felt about bodybuilding. Putting a fun and interesting twist to his interview, the bodybuilder debunked the myth that girls found bodybuilders attractive. Here’s the reason why.

Why does Chris Bumstead feel that bodybuilders aren’t attractive to women?

Going to the gym, working out intensely, and growing some muscles – sounds enticing to most people. However, Bumstead thinks that it’s natural to get carried away. Bodybuilding gets addictive easily, and while one might start with the goal of becoming more attractive, one might end up becoming humongous. The slightly ripped figure with a six-pack grows into an obsession over growing and sculpting every muscle on your body. However, the important question that the interviewer raised was – does it help get girls?

Bumstead’s simple answer is no. From what Bumstead witnessed in his own case, he explained that women don’t prefer too much muscle. In fact, a larger, more muscular figure, along with veins showing, “they find that kinda gross” from what Bumstead realized.

Bumstead’s shout out to his girl

It leads the audience to the question – does Bumstead have a girlfriend? Bumstead recently got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Courtney King. Incidentally, King is also acquainted with the bodybuilding field. She is an IFBB professional bikini competitor and won the Bikini Olympia in 2016.
