“Too Much for Little Man”: Toddler Working Out With Heavy Weights Receive Mixed Reactions From Bodybuilding Fans

Boom Lumbus is a personal trainer who has been effectively helping others to reach their fitness goals. He regularly keeps posting videos of him working out with the bodybuilding community. However, it’s not just him who likes to work out heavily, even his toddler son loves lifting weights. Sharing a sneak peek of how his one-year-old has been lifting weights, Lumbus shared a short clip with his Instagram family.

Though many of his fans showered him with praise, many had some opposing views. Read along to find out the details.

Fans had a lot to say about Boom Lumbus’ video

Sharing a short clip of his son lifting weights, the proud father posted a video with the caption, “We working.” The clip posted five days ago has since received a mixed batch of reactions. While many Instagram users appreciated Lumbus for introducing his young son to the technicalities of bodybuilding, many were apprehensive.

Taking a sharp dig at Lumbus, one of the users wrote, “This is why they take us away from our kids.” A user also was seen raising concerns about the child’s health. Expressing his concern, the user wrote, “Not well for the child’s joints.” Another user said, “U going stunt that boy growth and give him a hernia.” While another was not happy with the weights the little boy was lifting, “I’m not no professional, but is this too much for little man although he’s strong.”

However, many Instagram users were considerate and appreciated Lumbus for introducing the young kid to weights. Lauding Lumbus, “It’s not about the weight here since I am sure his dad is using no real weight in relation to his age for his safety and development. The great thing here is that his dad is helping the kid build great, strong motor skills, bonding, sense of pride, and cognitive development. Great work to the dad and kid.”

One of the Instagram users also wrote to Lumbus, complimenting him for teaching his young son the importance of discipline. The user wrote, “This man cld be running the streets neglecting his seed… but he’s teaching his son. About the grind, hard work and discipline are transferable competencies.”

Lumbus, who works as a fitness motivator and coach, remains active on Instagram. He enjoys more than 50k followers on his social media platform. Many users were not supportive of Lumbus for allowing his child to lift such heavy weights. However, they appreciated them for teaching his son “work ethics.” Time and again, Lumbus shares such workout routines with his fans.
