Arnold Schwarzenegger unfolds the excitement

Being an advocate of societal situations, The Terminator actor is well aware of the contributions done by the firefighters. Thus, he wrote to the BarBend in an email, “Firefighters and all first responders are true action heroes,”. Evidently, the ASF wants to provide a pedestal for these heroes through this contest. “We are talking about people who can carry you to save your life and run up and down ladders all day. They are selfless public servants keeping us safe without a spotlight all year, and I am so happy to host this amazing competition for them…”, added the legend.

The civil servants will have to compete and win in different stages of the contest. The stages consist of their everyday jobs. In the competition, as it goes – the performers have to hold two axes on their hands laterally. Who will hold it longer will win. Then comes the carrying of sandbags. Participants are required to carry three bags 20 feet around a cone before returning to the starting location. The winner is the participant who completes the job in the shortest amount of time. This will be followed by loading fire hydrants and ambulance tire deadlifts. Both men and women have different weight categories to decide the winners. Women! Yes, that’s the addition this year.

The Austrian legend felt delighted when he said, “Having women in this competition this year is so exciting for me”. “We had a woman named Sarah Reasoner compete in 2019 against the guys in Santa Monica, and she got fifth place out of 12. You could say that Sarah really kickstarted the women’s division into what it is today…”, he shared while focusing on the strong story of the firefighter.
