From a famous bodybuilder to an equally acclaimed actor and then a Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger has undoubtedly led a busy life. However, despite his busy schedule, Schwarzenegger never missed out on his duties as a father. He played an active role in bringing up his children and made sure to be present as they achieved different milestones in their lives.

Settling into his role as a father brought about some of the biggest changes in the actor’s life. The same was the case with Schwarzenegger’s former co-star Bruce Willis. In one of their interviews, Schwarzenegger and Willis opened up about the changes this new role brought into their lives.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis talk about fatherhood

In October 1991, Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared in an interview with Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis. It was after the launch of their restaurant chain, Planet Hollywood. At the time, it hadn’t been long too that Schwarzenegger and Willis had welcomed their eldest daughters. They gladly opened up about their life’s biggest role. Willis mentioned that after becoming a father, he had started staying at home more often. He found his children to be more interesting than anyone else in the world.

To this, Schwarzenegger added that before becoming a father, he used to claim that things wouldn’t change when he does become one. However, when the time came, things did change for the better. He said, “I always said that I know nothing would change but then all of a sudden you see yourself staying home more with your productions, you know the films, you insist that the shoot in Los Angeles”

Stating the reason behind insisting on home productions, he continued, “So you are there with the kids when they grow up, so you can see them taking the first step and walking and you are there when they say the first time daddy.” He further added that it’s natural that a person looks forward to these little things in life. However, Schwarzenegger’s urge to be a part of his children’s lives to teach them good values, once reached the point of obsession.

Schwarzenegger became obsessed with teaching his children about numbers

In one of his interviews, Schwarzenegger’s eldest son Patrick revealed how he learned about business from his father. Growing up, Patrick Schwarzenegger was highly interested in anything related to business. His parents always supported him in all his endeavors.

He also revealed that Arnie used to teach them about the concept of profit and loss. Moreover, Arnold Schwarzenegger was obsessed with teaching his kids about numbers and money. Arnie’s obsession eventually worked out for the best, because it can be seen that Patrick did learn a lot from those lessons.
