Schwarzenegger took to his Instagram handle and shared his picture with Bill. In the pictures, both bodybuilders are seen standing side by side; in another, they are talking about something. Meanwhile, in the caption, Arnold emotionally penned how important he was to him.

Arnold wrote, “Bill Pearl will live forever in the millions of people he inspired. I know because I’m one of them – when my goals were just dreams, it was idols like Bill Pearl, one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time, who motivated me to make the impossible possible. I put his photo above my little bed in Austria to remind me to keep pushing, to stay hungry, and to never give up. My thoughts are with his family.”

Bill Pearl’s legacy
The American legend Bill was born in Oregon’s Prineville. While growing up, he exercised at Leo Stern’s gym while serving as an enlistee in the US Navy at San Diego Naval Air Station. Like Pearl mentored Arnold, champion bodybuilder Leo Stern trained him. Leo always pushed him to participate in competitions.

In addition, all the competitions made him reach the extreme level, including Mr. America and Mr. Universe titles. However, apart from all the achievements, the legend was also the author of the book ‘Getting Stronger: Weight Training for Men and Women’. As Bill passed away, he left behind many people mourning for him.
