Growing up in a nation that has seen the wrath of war and the decline of social freedoms, Arnold Schwarzenegger, at a young age, understood the importance of politics. However, unlike many, his venture into politics was not pre-planned. The ex-army man was happy with his dominance in bodybuilding, but he craved more. He did not want to restrict himself. Determined to push the boundaries, Arnie took up one role after the other.
While acting was his passion, joining politics was more of a moral calling. He wanted to do something better for society. His moral obligations pushed him to stand for Governor’s election. But what if he was given a bigger opportunity? Back in 2014, the Governator opened up about the same.

Arnold spoke about his political aspiration
When Arnold took the chair as the 38th Governor of California, he created history. He became the first foreign-born to become the Governor of California after John G. Downey. However, his political aspirations were not limited to the chair of Governor. He had his eyes glued on the highest chair.
For the unversed, Arnold had always expressed his desire to run for the post of President. However, there’s one legal hurdle. The US Constitution debars foreign-born nations from contesting for the said post. Had this not been the case, then, as Arnold quoted, he “would have run for President in two seconds.” However, for this, changes had to be made in the constitutions.
