Paul Dillett took part in the North American Championships, where he became the runner-up. In an interview with Generation Iron in 2021, Paul told why bodybuilding in the 90s was special. He also told about why he thought bodybuilding was dead today.

Paul Dillett revealed why the ’90s was the golden era of bodybuilding
Paul spoke about the enormous popularity bodybuilding had in the 90s. “When we go to Fibo in Germany, you know, and you look out, and we’re guest posing, and there’s like 5000 people just in awe,” he said. “We would sign autographs until our fingers were swollen.”

Furthermore, Paul also discussed how there were die-hard bodybuilding fans in the 90s. In the 90s, fans would only see bodybuilders when they came to their cities or countries. He said that due to social media, that mystique about bodybuilders wasn’t there. Today fans could easily connect with their favorite bodybuilders through social media.

The champion also made a revelation that earlier, bodybuilders were so popular that they could sell their shirts and there’d be a bidding for those shirts. Paul also spoke about how bodybuilders could earn $2500 a day by posing at nightclubs, which doesn’t happen today.

Currently, Paul looks after the affairs of the World Beauty & Fashion Competition which he founded in 2007. The 57-year-old now stays in Canada and actively promotes this show through social media and magazines.
