Currently working as an online coach, Milos Sarcev once strongly spoke on the approach adopted by bodybuilders today. As such, in November 2022, Sarcev made his unfiltered opinions heard on the Straight Outta Lair podcast. Talking critically about how bodybuilders didn’t lift weights and challenge their limits enough, Sarcev looked to provide valuable advice to bodybuilders.

From providing responses about the sellability aspects of digital bodybuilding content and his take on Sean Ray’s opinion about how posting videos on Youtube has become a common sight, he touched upon a variety of aspects concerning bodybuilding. Here is how the conversation went.

Milos Sarcev addresses his disappointment about the misplaced priorities of the new-age bodybuilders

Milos Sarcev expressed how people going to the gym weren’t serious about developing their bodies. “Not lifting, not fighting the weight, not doing nothing. You’re like a fu****g robot there.”  The bodybuilder also criticized how aspiring bodybuilders didn’t challenge their muscles.

Further, he implied how there was a lot of bodybuilding content on Instagram where various terminologies like spinal flexion, and scapular retraction were used carelessly. While he understood that these terminologies helped to sell bodybuilding programs, he criticized bodybuilders for not lifting weights that unarguably is the foundation of a rock-solid body!

He shared his perspective and said, “Feel the muscle ok but not to the sense of you’re in a glass store and you’re elephant, you can’t even move, you’re gonna break everything.” The metaphor gives one a golden rule to endure a dedicated career and life to bodybuilding. This instance was not the only time Sarcev gave his frank opinions on bodybuilding and bodybuilders today.

In a recent interview with Muscular Development, Sarcev strongly reacted when the discussion turned to Masters Olympia Tournament. During this interview, he explained why he will not compete in the Masters Olympia.

Milos Sarcev gave a firm response to participating in the Master’s Tournament

Sarcev related how higher officials asked him to compete in the Masters Olympia in the Youtube interview. This interview was broadcasted on 8th February 2023. Sarcev recounted how he refused, responding, “Why would I push myself to those limits, I know what it took to get right there.”

The 57-year-old bodybuilder has competed for almost two decades in more than 50 bodybuilding competitions. While being aware of the strenuous training and diet to prepare for bodybuilding competitions, Sarcev clearly doesn’t want to experience the same pressure again.
