Lou Ferrigno, the legendary bodybuilder, and actor, has faced significant challenges with hearing loss throughout his life. However, advancements in medical technology have provided Ferrigno with a life-changing experience. The Incredible Hulk Star lost 75 percent of his hearing at the age of 4. However, the solution in the form of a cochlear implant has significantly improved his ability to hear and communicate.

The legendary bodybuilding icon recently opened up about how the experience of driving a car has completely changed for him. 

Lou Ferrigno’s long struggle comes to an end 

Ferrigno recently posted a video of sitting inside the car and listening to the radio. He described how he could understand every single detail of the broadcast and how it is a completely new experience for him. “I can understand everything and it’s fantastic because I could drive right now and listen to the radio,” he said. 

The former Mr. Universe also revealed his previous struggles in understanding voice with the hearing aid. ” earlier it was hard with the Hearing Aid because it was just a loud man talking. He said. “Now I don’t have to turn back and say ‘What What’ and try to read their lips”.

Ferrigno received his first cochlear implant in 2021 after he underwent surgery. This implant has helped him with his level of hearing, and now he is able to listen to all things loud and clear.

With his implant, Ferrigno is able to better hear and communicate with his colleagues, allowing him to perform more confidently and effectively. It helps him participate more freely in social situations, reducing his feelings of isolation and improving his overall mental well-being.
