Sage Kimzey, a native of Oklahoma, is a seven-time World Champion Bull Rider. He is known as the G.O.A.T. of bull riding. Over the course of his eminent career, Kimzey has shattered numerous records that will be remembered in the history of Bull riding. As the sport’s youngest millionaire and a non-stop force in redefining standards, Kimzey is unequivocally charting a course to inscribe his name in the chronicles of legend.

Sage Kimzey comes from a family of ranchers and has a strong family history in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Apart from his career, he is a man who has outdone himself in his personal life as well. In October 2020, Kimzey got married to Alexis Bloomer. However, he is in the news again but for a good reason that melted his fan’s hearts after seeing his little munchkin

Recently, he shared a story of his son on Instagram who was wearing an adorable white tee with ‘Kimzey’ written on it. However, Kimzey was in cowboy gear and was carrying a duffle bag. His son came behind him and hugged him and Kimzey then carried him on the bag and started walking.

Having a family is definitely something that’s all new to me, for sure. I mean, I grew up wanting to be a World Champion bull rider and that was kind of my only thought, right,” Kimzey said when his son was born last year. Sage Kimzey, the bull rider, took a break in the 2022 season due to injury. During that time, he became a father to Steele who was born seven weeks early on January 25.

He said,”At the end of the day, the legacy you leave in the rodeo world, it’s one that will be forgotten at some point,” Kimzey said. “Looking into my son’s eyes…You understand why you did everything that you did.” This shows how he is family oriented man but after 2022 he continued his career in 2023 but again faced something that put a question mark on his rodeo career

Sage Kimzey’s journey to the 2023 NFR

In September during PRCA Sage Kimzey faced an accident again while he was already recovering from his previous injury during the semi-final round of the Cheyenne Frontier Days. Despite a broken clavicle, displaced bicep tendon, and rotator cuff damage, Kimzey underwent surgery and aimed for a swift recovery. Initially unsure about participating in the 2023 National Finals Rodeo (NFR) due to not meeting the required rodeo count, Kimzey, determined to compete, traveled across the country to participate in 15 more rodeos to become eligible for the NFR.

Despite not fully healing, Kimzey is predicted to attend the NFR at the Thomas and Mack Arena in Las Vegas, currently sitting 8th in the PRCA world standings. Kimzey referred to the PRCA rule book, ensuring compliance by touching the bull with his hand on the rope, allowing him to compete without being disqualified.
