They say that giving the gift of life is the greatest deed that one can do to make this world a better place. Well, the 15-year-old cheerleader from Tennessee glorified the phrase and became the epitome of millions. The Gallatin-based teen, Aleya Brooks, passed away this past Sunday following a terrifying incident where an uprooted tree fell on her during a storm. However, as her parting gift, she donated her organs and saved the lives of three people.

Aleya Brooks was just 15 years old when she became the prey of a ferocious accident on 4th March 2023. She was working with her family on the Hendersonville driveway to clear the debris left by the storm. However, while clearing the wreckage, Brooks got trapped in a wind bluster, which was blowing at 79 mph, and was brutally hit by a tree. The sudden ambush on her head caused a severe brain injury and multiple facial and head fractures. Nevertheless, she was immediately taken to the hospital and was confirmed to be in serious condition. Unfortunately, as her condition deteriorated, she was taken off life support after the swelling in her brain increased, and was declared dead. Now, before her cremation, her family decided to donate her organs, in order to help those who were in need of the same. The kind gesture caught the attention of millions and netizens have nothing but praises and heartfelt eulogies for the young cheerleading icon.

Social media cult expressed their sincere tributes for Aleya Brooks

As per the report of WSMV, the cheerleader’s father, Jason Brooks, said in his eulogy that, “even in her passing, we want to help her continue her legacy of loving people and making a difference in lives around the world”. Moreover, the 15-year-old aspired to “heal brain trauma, brain injuries, Alzheimer’s” and more before her unfortunate demise. She even won two national championships in competitive cheerleading and wanted to pursue her vocation as a cheerleader. Therefore, as a sign of their soul-touching tribute to their daughter, Brooks’ parents decided to keep her bequest alive through her organs.

So thank you for saving three lives! You’re a true hero”. Another one shared the heart touching tale of his daughter’s kind donation by adding, “I donated my daughter’s corneas. It was too late to save any of her other organs. She begged for a heart transplant but had too much scar tissue from prior replacements of her valves”.

If some called her demise “a tragic loss“, some expressed their unfeigned messages for the resting soul by penning, “Rest in Peace“. The young prodigy indeed left the world too soon. Though she suffered horrifying lacerations in her last days, the teen cheerleader inscribed her name on the list of the greatest legendary acts of humankind. And that’s the story of Aleya Brooks.
