Do you sometimes look at Magnus Carlsen and go, ‘is this guy for real?’ Undoubtedly, his opponents might think of it when they can’t figure out how they lost a completely winning position. However, at a deeper human level, isn’t he one of the wittiest, coolest, and smartest person on the planet? Proving he is a witty-minded high functioning Grand Master, he released another one of his word bombs on Twitter.

Everyone knows Magnus Carlsen, the world chess champion. However, do you know Magnus Carlsen, the wordsmith? Well, if you happen to see any of his banters or his posts on social media, you would realize how good the Norwegian Grand Master is with words.

The world chess champion never loses an opportunity to be witty and creative and once again, he proved his quirky prowess with words. Magnus came up with a perfect reply to the South African international chess master, Jesse February’s question on Twitter. Jesse posted, “Chess-related pick-up lines. Go!” While everyone was busy thinking about the perfect reply, Magnus wrote, “Hi. My name is Magnus Carlsen.”

In a way, it was definitely a perfect pick line. Surely, the name Magnus Carlsen is enough to do the trick, given that he is the best in the world for almost a decade now. Though the statement also means the level of confidence Magnus is currently functioning at.

Since the Norwegian always speaks in riddles, it’s certainly tough to reach a valid conclusion in this regard. Though time and again he has shown some resentment from continuing his world championship journey. Furthermore, he is giving hints about a possible retirement from chess, but there haven’t been any official announcements yet.
