I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here was an excitement-packed run. British flat racing champion Jockey Frankie Dettori caused a stir in the equestrian community as one of the celebrity contestants on the show.

But despite being a surprise camper and joining the show late, he was also the first to be voted out. Although fans were disappointed with the result, Frankie Dettori recently made a huge announcement that not only made up for the loss on the show but also caused ripples in the fandom.

Taking to X Frankie Dettori announced, “A really proud moment to be shortlisted as one of six contenders for the 2023 @BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.” While the news itself was exhilarating, the delivery added a special touch. Dettori posted a video of a WhatsApp group called “#Junglesquad 2023″, where the celebrity contestants sent him congratulatory messages for the SPOTY nomination. The standout moment was the amusing exchange between Frankie Dettori and “Made in Chelsea” star and “I’m a Celebrity” winner, Sam Thompson.

Excited to congratulate Frankie, Sam’s text read, “FRANKIE! Are you by the pool? I’m coming for a hug!!!” to which Dettori politely declined not once but three times!  But in a humorous twist, Sam didn’t catch the message and was already on his way to embrace the esteemed jockey. The messages got an epic reply from the other contestants, and what stood out was Teddy T’s response, who said, “He’s your problem now, mate. Enjoy.” Although the conversation was make-believe, the post stirred fans online, who flooded the comment section.

Fans of the esteemed jockey and the show were sent into a frenzy, and the comments were brimming with excitement. One fan said, “He’s your problem now,” quoting Tony Bellew’s English former professional boxer’s quote.

Another fan left excited by the chat from the contestants added an endearing throwback picture from the show.

One person even gushed about the legendary Jackson and even claimed he would be awarded a “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his contribution.
