The Ariat Invitational is known for pitting the toughest bull riders against the top bovine athletes, and this time is going to be no different. The event will take place on Saturday, i.e. April 22, and Sunday, i.e. April 23. Before the commencement of this exciting event, a professional rider describes one of the most adventurous sports in the world.

In conversation with PBR rider Dakota Louis

The rider gave an interview to KIRO 7 News a few days before the competition was set to start. Dakota Louis talked about the competition, what it takes to make it to the invitationals, and what it takes to win the championship. His insights about bull riding were inspiring. He talked about the aim of every rider, and said, “To be at these events on a weekly basis and progress to the finals is our ultimate goal.”

Louis also talked about the importance of concentration, as well as the importance of respecting not only the sport but their bovine competitors as well. He added, “We can’t get too far ahead of ourselves and (need to) stay in the moment because these bulls don’t care who you are, where you came from, or what you did yesterday — their job is to buck you off.” Louis revealed that it is important for a rider to be physically and mentally in shape, which is what he has been doing.

He talked about the might of the raging bulls and how the scores are related to them, saying, “They’re scored on how high they jump, how fast they spin, and then also how difficult they are to stay on, so if they turn back both ways, they get scored more.” Finally, the pro rider revealed that if one is looking for an exhilarating time, one should go to the Ariat Invitational. According to him, there is a lot of talent in this arena and a “fierce competition between man versus animal”.

Fans express their anticipation for the bull riding event

A fan revealed their love for rodeo but also expressed a cautionary tale in their comment. The comment read, “Used to go to rodeos back in the day. Always a bit scary but cool to watch. Not for the faint of heart”. This does not come as a surprise given the fact that riders sit atop bucking bulls with humongous horns. In spite of this, a fan still described the rodeo to be a good time, and said, “Always a great show #PBR”.

Another one wrote a similar comment saying, “I wish it sounds like a great time”. Someone else was excited enough to divulge the outfit that they would be wearing at the rodeo, and it got some laughs. The person commented, “I’ll be there in my finest Bud Light chaps.” A rodeo enthusiast was sad to miss the ticket sale, and said, “I didn’t know it was coming up or I’d go.”
