A heartwarming tribute from Nathan Chen to Elton John

The sensational Chen won his first Olympic gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. After setting a record-breaking short program, he switched to Rocketman for inspiration in the long program. Delivering a fascinating tale in Tokyo, his figure skating display was stunning. Hence, he gave tribute to John on Instagram.

“One of the most special nights of my life!! Thank you Elton for the magic you bring to so many people, and for the honor of being able to skate to your music! So thankful to have been able to spend this amazing time with the best cast and crew ever!”

He posted a photo with the Stars on Ice cast and a video of Elton John performing the famous song, ‘Bennie and the Jets.’ In the meantime, Elton gave a tribute to Chen by giving him a mention for using his song Rocketman. He was in full praise of the figure skater.

After failing to win the gold medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, he won hearts by giving a fascinating experience to people in attendance. He scored 113.97 in the short program while following it with 218.63 points in the long program; where he used the song ‘Rocketman.’
