And with increased popularity, people have started recognizing the athlete when she goes for outings. But recognition can also have an annoying aspect in a celebrity’s life, especially when one enjoys the company of family and friends.

Simone Biles on the most irritating aspect of being famous

Biles expressed something similar during a conversation with Daphne Oz after returning from the Rio Olympics. While speaking with the gymnast, Daphne inquires about the most irritating “part about being recognized.”

However, the two-time Olympian refrained from sharing a specific incident. She shared a generalized narrative about people invading her personal space while having food with her family.

Pondering the question for a bit, Biles answered, “Sometimes. Like if I’m out to eat with my family. And eating is kind of a problem because… like I don’t understand if I’m walking on the street some people don’t say, ‘Oh hey Simone, can I have a picture?’ Until I walk into the restaurant, sit down, and get my food. Then they attack me. I’m like, ‘I was walking on the streets for minutes.’ ”

What are the gymnast’s thoughts on it?

But she understands how people must feel when they see the face of gymnastics going about her daily life in public spaces. This sentiment finds expression in what the star athlete had to say next.
