To some, the story of success mounts up to 10000 hours. If one trains for 10000 hours, one can probably reach the success they intend to. Simone Biles’ mother wanted the best for her daughter, and she took a monumental decision in her career. When hearing about her ambitions of becoming the greatest gymnast of all time, her mother drew out a plan to facilitate that.

It was a career-defining moment for the young gymnast who never looked back. The concept of homeschooling is relevant these days in a way to help kids to achieve their dreams. Nellie Biles knew what she had to do and introduced the idea of getting home schooled. That decision became monumental in the course of her career.
Quest for glory
Simone started training when she was six. On a day-care field trip, Biles developed an interest in gymnastics and slowly took baby steps toward becoming a legend. Training at a young age, she started competing when she was seven and entered the Junior National Team. Having to make the most significant decision of her career, Biles needed to decide whether she decides a public school or be homeschooled. Her mother stepped in and gave a bit of life-changing advice.

“To advance to the elite level and be on that cover, she’d have to be homeschooled… There would be no prom, no after-school activities, no hanging with classmates,” said Ronald. For a young girl to miss out on some of the cherishable moments of her life, Biles had to make a swift decision.
Switching to homeschooling, Biles could expand her training hours from 20 to 32 hours a week. The results were mind-boggling.

Simone Biles dominates gymnastics!
In 2013, she won the all-around title at the World Gymnastics Championships becoming, the first African American woman to win the title. In addition, she won gold for the floor exercise, silver in the vault, and a bronze medal in the balance beam event. From there, there was no stopping her. She won four gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

It was love at first sight for Simone Biles. She adored the sport and developed an interest that fetched her many medals, as well as, moves named after her. What proved to be the hardest decision of her life provided her with glory moments. Biles is a legend, and her mother Nellie Biles played a significant role in it.
