Just a few days after the gymnast’s grand comeback to the arena, her father celebrated his birthday. On his special day, Biles’s brother Ron Biles shared a series of pictures. The granddad and Ronni pair could be seen spending time with one another in the last picture of the post. There is no doubt the eight-month-old has brought the family closer. That’s all about Ronald Biles’s granddaughter. As for Simone Biles, she shares a close connection with her father. This was quite evident in a rare USAToday interview with her father, a man whose quiet demeanor remained unperturbed by the rise of controversial media coverage back in 2016.

Ronald Biles sits for a rare interview

Simone must have been already wrapped up with the nerves surrounding one of the greatest comebacks in the sport’s history at the US Classics. While there has been no birthday update from the preoccupied gymnast this time on her social media platforms this time, back in 2016 too, Biles was busy taking the sports world by storm. Simone didn’t forget to reach out to her dad on his birthday.

In a rare interview with her father, when asked about how proud he is of his daughter, he said, “How proud am I? That is a good question. I am still getting used to it. Yes, I am pretty darn proud. It is an interesting time. It has been a wonderful journey.” Throughout Biles’s career trajectory, Ronald’s presence has been instrumental not only as a parent but as a mentor in the world of gymnastics.
