The 46th Annual Gracie Grand Awards will have Simone Biles honor Taylor Swift for her inspirational contribution as an artist to society. Along with Swift, a host of other winners are selected for this prestigious award.

The relationship between the two entities started when Taylor spoke out in support of Biles, following her withdrawal from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. However, ahead of their meeting at Tuesday’s award ceremony, let’s take a look back to understand the importance of this honorary accolade.

The Gracie Grand Awards
Biles will present the award to Taylor Swift at the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation’s 46th Gracie Awards on Tuesday. The award celebrates and honors programming created for women, by women, and of women. It recognizes national, local, and student works.
The committee selected most of the individuals who work in television, radio, and digital media. The award appreciates their efforts in creating excellent content. Notably, the award is named after radio and television star Gracie Allen. Kerry Washington, Catherine O’Hara, Lena Waithe, Kelly Clarkson, Hillary Rodham Clinton, DeDe McGuire, Danielle Monaro, Taylor Swift, and Erin Andrews are some of this year’s winners.
Likewise, Biles’ presence in the event would be a treat to watch.

Simone Biles to honor Taylor Swift
The renowned GOAT of gymnastics revealed her excitement about giving the award to music artist, Taylor Swift. Speaking of the same, she even thanked Swift for her support. Taylor was among the many entities who spoke in favor of Biles after her infamous withdrawal from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
“I can’t tell you how much I love Taylor and her music. But ‘Folklore’ is not the only incredible thing she did during this ongoing pandemic. She has shown immense grace and generosity to many of her fans in need, including me. During the 2020 Olympics she reached out, but she also dedicated something so special to me that I’ll never forget,” said Biles.
Actress and comedian Lauren Ash will host the awards. In addition, there will be performances by Jewel and CeCe Winans. Undoubtedly, Simone Biles‘ presence will add glitter to the star-studded guest list.
