In a post on X by a handle called Adrián “@flopchenko,” Suni Lee was spotted holding up an unusual necklace. The post stated, “Do y’all remember when Frankie Jonas tricked Suni and a bunch of Tik Tokers into taking a picture wearing a scientology necklace.” In the picture, the chain featured in the photo had the “S” symbol of the Scientology organization interwoven between two triangles. And it turns out it was part of a now-deleted TikTok video posted by Frankie Jonas, the youngest sibling of Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas, aka the Jonas Brothers. This resurfaced post took fans back in time when Frankie Jonas posted a TikTok video in which various influencers and celebrities, including Olympian Sunisa Lee and TikTok stars like Charli D’Amelio, Noah Beck, and Lil Huddy, were seen posing with a Scientology chain.

Many people online believe that the influencers were unaware of the meaning of the chain and were essentially tricked into posing with it at a party. The TikTok video has since been deleted, but it went viral, leading to discussions and reactions on social media platforms like Twitter. Regardless of this bizarre find resurfacing on the internet, Suni Lee remains unfazed, maintaining a razor-sharp focus on the upcoming Paris Olympics in 2024.

Sunisa Lee spent most of 2023 sitting out competitions, like the 2023 Women’s Artistic Selection Camp, the 2023 World Championships, and even the Pan American Games due to her health issues related to her kidneys. However, Suni Lee has been actively working towards her comeback for the 2024 season. Since January 2024, via Instagram posts and stories, Lee has shared glimpses of her training sessions.
