Notably, Suni was the last of six celebrities in the competition who performed in the episode. After a shaky start, the judges acknowledged her performance during the last round and focused on her improvement. However, when it was time to make the crucial decision, the judges chose The Talk co-host Amanda Kloots and her partner to progress forward, while Lee and her partner Sasha Farber ended their time on the show.

Host Tyra Banks spoke highly of Lee’s performances in the competition. Despite the pressure and expectations coming in fresh from the Olympic Games, Banks appreciated the famous gymnast’s performance.

Incredible performances showcased by Lee

After room for improvement during the first rounds, she worked on herself and brought out a contemporary special. There were moments where she introduced her gymnastic skills on the floor by doing a handles cartwheel while dropping to her knees at the end of the dance. It was a mellow and subtle performance from the gymnast who was clearly having a nice time after the hustle-bustle schedule in Tokyo.

Speaking of her experience on the show, Suni said, “My life literally changed overnight at the Olympics and I still have not figured out a way to cope with it. I can’t even go outside without people knowing my name. And, you know, all that pressure — it’s been hard for me.”
