Frankie Dettori has been a “huge part of racing at Ascot over the last 35 years,” shared Sir Francis Brooke, chairman of Ascot, on October 21, 2023. Despite the Italian jockey being honored with a life-size installation at Ascot Racecourse, unveiled by Queen Camilla herself, he decided to bid farewell to the UK and pursue his horse racing career in Hollywood.

Now settled at the stunning Santa Anita racetrack, the 53-year-old recently dropped a post, enjoying his biggest horse racing win since moving to America. And despite choosing another path, this got major love from his fans, who were thrilled to witness their hero making waves on a new stage.

In an Instagram post by three-time British flat racing champion Jockey Frankie Dettori, the icon shared a picture enthralling his 210K followers. Dettori posted an image of himself captured at the significant race and victory at Santa Anita in the Grade 3 Las Cienegas Stakes. He captioned the image by adding a simple saluting face emoji. At the race, he rode Honey Pants, trained by Philip D’Amato. Honey Pants, a six-year-old mare, was guided by Dettori just behind the leading horses for most of the 6½ furlong turf contest.

But at the home stretch, she surged ahead, ultimately winning by a head over another horse from the same stable, Elm Drive. This win marked Frankie Dettori’s most notable victory since he started his career in the United States. Responding to the image, fans were left enthralled, and comments of awe and admiration poured in from all corners of the world.
