It has been a tough start to the year for the Vancouver Canucks. Firstly, fans’ favorite Gino Odjick passed away at 52, after donning the Canucks jersey for over a decade. And now, head coach Bruce Boudreau, nicknamed Barbeque Bruce, has been replaced with Rick Tocchet.

Canucks Fans react to Bruce Boudreau’s last day at work. 

In a recent Facebook update by Sportsnet, a video of Boudreau standing secluded from the team, all emotional, has garnered immense attention from fellow hockey fans. The caption read, “Bruce Boudreau leaves the ice to a “Bruce there it is!” chant.” The evidently teary-eyed former coach walked away as the crowd chanted his name in unison. Rick Tocchet appointed as the new head coach

NHL officially declared Rick Tocchet as the head coach of Vancouver Canucks inherently replacing the cherished Bruce Boudreau, on their Facebook page. The caption read, “There’s a new sheriff in town. Rick Tocchet has been named the new head coach of the Vancouver Canucks.” Once again, fans didn’t back down from questioning the conclusion.
