When Jackie Chan was just six years old, his parents felt that they were not able to manage all three of them. Hence, they admitted him to the China Drama Academy by signing a contract. The contract bound Jackie like a live-in-servant. Chan had to work hard all day and get little to eat and lots of punishment.

However, this is the same place where Chan learned to do acrobatics, acting, singing, kung fu, and discipline. Chan said, “The first three days were fun, then I received my first beating.”
