Amongst martial arts pioneers in Hollywood, two names shine bright – Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. While Lee introduced martial arts to the industry, Chan was the one responsible for adding the entertainment aspect. Both Asian heroes have inspired many fans over the years. Fans also loved to watch the relationship they shared with each other.
Jackie was a huge fan of Bruce Lee. There were many anecdotes where the actor enthusiastically spoke about his experience with the martial arts king. In one such interview, Jackie recalled that he played the role of a stuntman for Lee’s movie. While Jackie was also a trained martial artist, he realized something significant about Bruce Lee’s kicks.

While shooting for Fist of Fury, Jackie was a stuntman in that movie. There he met Lee and got enlightened about his incredible talent. While shooting, Jackie learned that one must stay focused, especially when Lee was about to hit. In an interview, the actor exclaimed that the martial artist was too fast for the human eye. So when they shot a scene where Jackie was supposed to fight Lee, the martial arts king hit hard and so fast that Jackie couldn’t keep up.
Jackie exclaimed, “Don’t shake your eyes. Because when you shake your eyes, you cannot see Bruce Lee kick”. The actor ended up getting hurt while the camera was rolling. Lee is popular for his supremely agile moves. In the interview, Jackie also mentioned how he cannot imagine a human being having such abilities.
