The world works in strange ways. Some crack the secret to success early, while some spend a fair bit of time before they can really figure it out. Speaking about virtue as a more wholistic function than just a one-off event, Rodriguez went on to explain how he understood it. Rodriguez said, “luck includes a lot of things and includes self awareness. It includes humility, and incredible attitude, energy and effort and discipline.”

Adding that the true success to come out of any such opportunity is a combination of all the factors that operate to help you. Not simply a singular event that happened to go your way. “And when you kind of put all these variables and you put them inside a box, you end up getting lucky,” said Rodriguez.

Perhaps going into a bit more detail, A-Rod explained how luck wasn’t just some one-off event that went your way. And neither should you expect it to be. Said A-Rod, “Lucky is not just ‘Hey, I’m going to just going to wake up at five o’clock in the afternoon every day and hope that I get lucky.’ “ Speaking about how it was a more gradual process; where you involve more people to gain their opinions and make a decision on the basis of collective opinion.
