Right now, Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani is probably the biggest face of Major League Baseball. Along with his playing capabilities, Ohtani’s craze among the fans is also immense. Considering his achievements in MLB at such a young age, fans often compare him with MLB legend Babe Ruth. Many have predicted that he will someday break the home-run record of legendary Babe Ruth. Well, even if the Angels star wishes to do so, he has a long way to go.

The reason people compare Ohtani with Ruth is also because of his two-way playing abilities. Apart from being a pitcher, the Angels star is also a really good hitter, just like Babe Ruth. In the 2021 season, Ohtani was named MVP in the American League.

And when we talk about Shohei Ohtani, he has a mountain to climb in order to break Ruth’s record. Currently, at the age of 27, the Japanese MLB star has hit only 93 home runs. And if he wishes to surpass Babe Ruth, then Ohtani will have to hit 622 more home runs in the next 8-10 years of his remaining career.

In the last season of Major League Baseball, the Angels star had hit the most home runs. The two-way MLB superstar not only hit 46 home runs but also stole 26 bases and drove in 100 runs as a hitter.
