The past three-four months have been nothing but a rollercoaster ride for Major League Baseball. But while normalcy has resumed almost everywhere, the complications continue for the New York Yankees, who are yet to extend Aaron Judge’s contract.

Now, in a couple of weeks, the regular season will also start in MLB. Considering Aaron Judge is in the last year of his professional contract, he will become a free agent if the Yankees do not sign him before the season starts.

Aaron Judge is prepared to be a free agent if he doesn’t renew with New York Yankees

Notably, the current free agency hasn’t been a good one for the Yankees. After losing a few major free agents to their rival teams, the Yankees are struggling to extend Judge’s contract. The two parties have been negotiating for a new contract since a while now, but they are yet to agree on a deal.

Aaron Judge has been probably the most productive player for the Yankees in the last few years. And considering his impact both on the field and off the field, his extension should be a priority for the Yankees.
