Reacting to Cabrera’s record-breaking achievement, the Tigers manager AJ Hinch said it would be fun to watch him do that in front of home fans. Hinch also shared Detroit slugger’s opinion on achieving the milestone. He conveyed that Cabrera also wants to get it over with.
“It’s such fun to watch him,” AJ Hinch said. “Now that we are back home and you know he is gonna play these games at home in front of the fans. Hopefully, he can put together five hits at least and do it in front of friends, family, the fans, who have supported him all these years… We are all very excited and looking forward to celebrating on the field with him. I think he just wants to get it over with…”

Although Cabrera got a hit against the Yankees on Tuesday, he could not avoid a 4-2 defeat to the Yankees. However, there are still two games to be played against the Yankees at the Comerica Park. And it is possible that the Tigers legend might get his 3,000th hit in these two games.
