The past few days have been very tough for the New York Mets. Right before the start of the regular season, the Mets have got their star player injured. Notably, the Mets starting pitcher for the opening day, and Jacob deGrom is out for an indefinite time due to a shoulder injury. But, no worries, as Max Scherzer is there to pitch on opening day.
Such an injury at this crucial stage can heavily affect any team. But, the Mets star Max Scherzer will not let that happen to his teammates. Knowing for his great leadership qualities, the veteran pitcher assembled the Mets squad to motivate them for the upcoming season.

Even Scherzer is not hundred percent fit for the opening day. Various reports suggest that the Mets pitcher has a hamstring problem. But despite all that, he managed to gather the entire squad and cheer them up for the 2022 regular season.

Earlier on Saturday, after the injury scare at the Citi Field, the Mets manager Buck Showalter gave a day off to players. However, they spent their day together anyway, thanks to Max Scherzer. As per MLB writer Anthony DiComo, Scherzer rented out an entire golf course and gathered his teammates to spend their day together.
