‘My Heart is So Happy’- Fans Rejoice as Baseball Returns After Disappointing MLB Lockout Comes to an End

For the first time in the last three months, baseball fans have finally got the news they wanted to hear the most. Yes, the lockout is finally over in Major League Baseball. MLB owners and the Players’ Union on Thursday agreed upon the new CBA for the next five years in the league.

Now, with the lockout ended, free agency has also been activated. Not only free agency, but spring training and other MLB activities are live and underway. And understandably, apart from players and owners, even MLB fans are now over the moon, awaiting the games to begin.

That being said, baseball fans will have to wait just a bit more to watch the games in ballparks. With the new CBA agreed between the owners and players, MLB also announced the next season will kick start on April 7th.

Notably, the past three-four months were one of the most difficult times for MLB, as well as for baseball fans. Hence, with games beginning in less than a month from now, fans couldn’t control their emotions

Apart from CBA being agreed, MLB has also decided to not cancel any games and play the full season. Now, instead of March 1st, the next season will start on April 7th, with a blockbuster match between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox on opening day.

As soon as MLB ended the lockout, fans erupted on Twitter and thanked MLB for restoring the full season. Many are now looking forward to the trades and free agency. As per Jeff Passan of ESPN, the pending spring training will also start this Friday.

Not only baseball fans but MLB players also took to Twitter to show their excitement for the next season. From MLB legend Rod Carew to the Chicago Cubs star, Marcus Stroman, none could hold themselves back from sharing their happiness with fans.
