The New York Yankees did manage to get a win against the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday in the Bronx. But the misbehavior done by the Pinstripes fans overshadowed the thrilling victory. After a late win on Saturday, the Yankees fans did not even hesitate to show their disrespect towards the opposition players.
Notably, the New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians played their second game of the three-game series in the Bronx on Saturday. Players like Gleyber Torres and Isiah Kiner-Falefa snatched the game from the Guardians’ jaw in the ninth inning.

Had the Guardians won this game against the Yankees, the series would have been tied by 1-1. But with this win, the Yankees sealed the series against the Guardians. Now, even if the Yankees do not win the third, i.e., the last game of the series, they have already won the series against a top side like the Cleveland Guardians.
Guardians players slam the New York Yankees fans’ misbehavior
There is nothing wrong with celebrating your favorite team. But one should never cross the line and hurt the opposition players. After the victory against the Guardians on Saturday, the Yankees fans started throwing trash cans and garbage toward the opposition players.
The video of the incident is still doing rounds on the Internet. Even the Yankees players, Aaron Judge, and Giancarlo Stanton asked the fans to stop. But the fans were utterly disrespectful toward the Guardians players.

Reacting to this incident, the Guardians outfielder Oscar Mercado criticized the incident. He said that there will be consequences for this. “I am not going to sit there and allow them to just throw stuff at me and take it like it’s nothing. They need to be held accountable,” Oscar said.
