In his book, Bruce Lee, heroic judoka and pro wrestler, Ivan ‘Judo’ Gene LeBell who also worked as a stunt coordinator in films, opened up about Lee’s wrath and how stuntmen were scared for their lives while in a fighting scene with the martial art legend.?

As per the autobiographical book Bruce Lee, the Hong Kong star urged the stuntmen for real-life fistfights which, in turn, were inherently disliked by them. As Lee was among the most capable fighters of his time, the stuntmen ended up getting thrashed by the star. ?They were tired of getting hurt,? LeBell admitted.?

The famous pro wrestler, being the stunt coordinator, was appointed with the responsibility to pacify Lee?s fights. He said, “Bruce would hit you in ten different spots and as a stuntman you wouldn’t know whether to grab your jaw and say that hurt or your stomach.?

LeBell claimed that he and the crew put in ultimate efforts to slow down action prodigy. Apparently, they utilized the ?John Wayne way? by first interacting with the fighter and then hitting him. Additionally, he disclosed, ?Bruce liked to throw thirty-seven kicks and twelve punches.? However, there were occurrences when the legend himself had to face repercussions.

Bruce Lee?s ugly encounter in Fist of Fury

Talking to Onionsan, Lee?s wife, Linda Lee Cadwell, revealed horrifying details of his behind the scene encounter with a Cobra snake while shooting for the epic film Fist of Fury. She said, ?As you?ll see in the film, this is a very large, ugly snake. As part of a scene, Lee was supposed to grab the snake’s head after stepping on its tail. It is safe to say that the Cobra?s venom was extracted to avoid any consequences. Nonetheless, the snake bit the actor. Cadwell disclosed, ?This snake actually got quite nasty with Bruce and did in fact, bite him?
