While these adaptations were doing exceptionally well, the makers came up with the idea of collaboration between these two series. While the crossover episodes earned a treasure trove of plaudits from the spectators, the behind the scene anecdotes were as much intriguing as the Little Dragon?s next kung fu move. A fighting sequence with his co-actor amused Bruce Lee

In his book, Bruce Lee: a life, Matthew Polly penned an incident that took place on the sets of Batman and the Green Hornet. As per the book, while filming the fighting sequence between Lee?s character Kato and Ward?s character Robin, the Little Dragon?s persona intimidated Ward. While shooting the scene, Kato cornered Robin with his daunting stare. Witnessing this, a stuntman present on the set whispered, ?black panther and the yellow chicken?.

Moreover, before filming the crossover episode, the script demanded Lee lose the fight against Ward, which made the Little Phoenix more furious and he refused to shoot a fighting sequence. Therefore, Batman?s producer, William Dozier, agreed to Lee?s terms and revised the script. In the new revisions, Kato and Robin?s fight ends in a tie. This time, Burt Ward became petrified and refused to work alongside the Dragon.
