“Loving him was red,” sang Taylor Swift in one of her chart-topping hits. But little did fans expect that the fiery color of passion would spill from her lyrics into real life. Speculations of romance have swirled around the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, and Swift ever since the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Chicago Bears. Taylor, dressed in red and white attire with a classic red lip, was spotted alongside Donna Kelce, his mom, in a luxury suite at Arrowhead Stadium, cheering his team on in full cheer.

After the match, the two were even spotted leaving the venue together. And then, amidst the whirlwind of excitement, Travis Kelce and Swift sent fans into a frenzy as they cruised through Kansas City in Kelce’s vintage convertible later that day. After images of the couple started to flood social media, a tycoon with a $100 million business who is renowned for his bold personality and his famous pizza reviews took to social media and trolled this buzzing rumored relationship.

Sports media juggernaut is not convinced

Enter Dave Portnoy, the $100 million business tycoon and owner of Barstool Sports who is also known for his unapologetic and unfiltered opinions. Upon seeing the images of Kelce and Taylor Swift in the convertible, he couldn’t resist sharing his thoughts. In a tweet that set the internet abuzz, Portnoy wrote, “I feel like we’re getting trolled with the convertible.”

Portnoy, like many others, expressed his doubts about whether the two were truly a couple or if they were teasing fans. The relationship began with a meet-cute that set the internet ablaze, with many fans excited but also doubting if it was too good to be true.

Are Taylor Swift and Kelce teasing fans?

It all started when Travis Kelce attended one of  Swift’s Eras Tour concerts at the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas. He even made a friendship bracelet as his subtle icebreaker to getting the “reputation” star’s phone number, as he admitted on his “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” podcast. However, Swift was so busy that he did not get his chance.

Then Kelce made one final play, as he told ESPN, inviting her to witness him “rock the stage in Arrowhead”.  A fan replying to Portnoy’s tweet even said, “We are 100% getting trolled, this is the 2023 version Dennis Rodman and Madonna and we are all here for it”. While one joked, “This next album is writing itself”. But as the news of their recent appearances together, including the romantic drive around Kansas City, emerged, the speculation has reached a new height.
