The Edmonton Oilers is now at the fifth position in the western conference of the NHL following a series of defeats in the regular season playoffs. Though Connor McDavid has been delivering his off-the-charts net-hitting shots, Oilers’ victory is not playing out in terms of its captain’s puck-handling prowess. Nevertheless, while Edmonton Oilers paved the way for the iconic Wayne Gretzky to claim his title of ‘the Great One’, many are contemplating if the team will or will not macadamize a path for McDavid.

Following its performance in the last two games, the Oilers descended down from fourth to fifth place in the Western Conference. First, the Eastern Conference’s lowest performing club, the Columbus Blue Jackets trounced the Oilers with a score of 6-5 and then came the Boston Bruins who plunged McDavid’s team one more step down after finishing at 3-2. Apparently, in every match, the Oilers’ captain took all the limelight by conferring top-notch performances on the ice rink. Though McDavid finishes this week with up-the-hill stats, netizens are not happy with the Oiler’s overall performance.
