Wayne Gretzky seems to be all geared up

Wayne Gretzky posted a black and white photo on his Instagram stories today. The picture showed him surrounded by a crew with cameras and microphones. It also included a text saying “NHL TNT AT HOME WITH 99”. Every hockey fan knows that jersey number 99 belonged to The Great One. Therefore, it might be assumed that Wayne Gretzky was in preparation to give an interview at his home.

The interview comes right before the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs, so it would not be too much extrapolation to guess that the interview might have something to do with the same. Wayne Gretzky joined The NHL on TNT team to stay in touch with all the current events in hockey, and also, simply to feed his love for the sport. The Stanley Cup playoffs are scheduled to begin today, that is, April 17, which comes three days after the 2022-23 season of the NHL ended. While Boston Bruins made the playoffs, Pittsburgh Penguins failed to clear the mark for the first time since the 2005-06 NHL season. This has resulted in the end of the longest playoff streak, which has not passed on to the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
