Now, the son-in-law of the Schwarzenegger family, Chris Pratt, has become a part of the legacy. 

Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt tied the knot in 2019 and the MCU’s ‘Star-Lord’ has been an active member of the Special Olympics committee for the past year. In a recent Instagram story, Katherine Schwarzenegger applauded her husband’s contribution to the global cause.

Chris Pratt promoted the ‘Special Olympics’ event along with Equestrian Jumping athlete Nicholas Leroy. He posted a photo with Leroy and appealed to the audience to contribute to the global cause.

Katherine reposted it on her story and acknowledged Nicholas’ hard work in organizing the event. She was also delighted by Chris Pratt’s contribution to highlighting the event. “So proud of the work special Olympics is doing and Chris Pratt for helping to highlight the amazing work,” she wrote.

Katherine also asked her friends to contribute and participate in events related to the Special Olympics. She added, “let’s all fight for a world where people with intellectual disabilities can try new things.”

Schwarzenegger’s family has deep roots with the Special Olympics

Besides praising Pratt and Leroy, Katherine Schwarzenegger informed her fans why she has been so involved with the Special Olympics. She wrote, “I am also supporting the Special Olympics, a cause that means so much to my family.” 

These exact words were also present in Pratt’s Giving Tuesday tweets.

The Special Olympics has always been a huge part of Katherine’s life, as her grandmother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, founded the organization.
