With less than 500 days left for the 2024 Summer Olympics, participants, fans, and organizers are all gearing up for the big event. The sports world has been looking forward to the 2024 Paris Olympics ever since the 2020-2021 Tokyo Olympics concluded. However, their excitement suffered a setback after discovering the ticket prices in February 2023. Many fans opinioned the prices were too high and inaccessible for the public. At the time, Tony Estanguet, the president of the 2024 Olympics organizing committee, countered by stating that they were charging the standard prices.
Furthermore, he reasoned that the 2024 Paris Olympics isn’t as costly as the 2012 London Olympics. This further fueled the fire of discontent among the fans. However, amidst the controversy, a recent announcement by the French government has shined like a ray of hope for the fans. The government has decided to spend around $16 million for the fans.
