Every year, TIME magazine celebrates a curated list of the most influential people. The list of these influential people is not ranked in any particular manner but is chosen out of these categories: Artists, Icons, Pioneers, Leaders, Titans, and Innovators. And two-time Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin made it to the elite list.

The woman is more than just a sports icon. However, to name a few achievements, she has broken records left, right, and center. At the TIME 100 gala, she bumped into a very special guest who also found a mention in the influential people list.

Mikaela Shiffrin bumps into a special guest

The TIME 100 Gala 2023 was held in New York City, and it celebrated some of the most influential people from all walks of life. The red carpet at the gala was studded with stars and celebrities from different disciplines, be it actors or singers, or sportspeople. The Alpine skiing queen, Mikaela Shiffrin was also in attendance. On the red carpet, she met the Hollywood superstar Michael B Jordan.

Mikaela Shiffrin was looking gorgeous and turning heads with a black floor-length gown that had silver stone work, a piece of art that complimented her figure perfectly. While walking the red carpet, she had the pleasure of meeting none other than Michael B Jordan, the American actor, producer, and director. Shiffrin also added a photo with Jordan on Twitter, and wrote in the caption, “Okaaaaay, I’m just going to leave this right here. 🫣🤯🤩 #TIME100 @TIME”. Seems like she might be having a fangirl moment there.

The carpet might be overflowing with stars, but hardly any would shine as bright as Shiffrin. The Olympic Alpine skier became the first skier to win a gold medal at five straight World Championships when she won the gold at the FIS World Championship held in Italy. In addition to this, she has innumerable other achievements that have established her as the greatest skier ever to have graced us. There is no doubt that she earned her place at this table full of the most influential people of 2023.

Along with Shiffrin, some other notable names present at the gala were, the socialite Kim Kardashian, the actress Jennifer Coolidge, the singer Doja Cat, the actress Salma Hayek, and fellow Alpine ski racer, Lindsey Vonn.
